The big day is almost here for more than 450 soon-to-be graduates who will take part in Keuka College’s 116th Commencement on Saturday, May 17, on the College campus.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will be held on the lawn in front of Norton Chapel and will feature an address from College President Amy Storey.
Addresses will also be delivered by two student speakers, Georgia Gallatin, a Nursing major from, Bloomfield, New York, and Peyton Taylor, a Management major from Troy, Pennsylvania.
The College will also announce its Professor of the Year and Adjunct Professor of the Year during the ceremony, as well as awarding a Doctor of Humane Letters degree to College Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Crystal Gips ’65 for her many years of service, advocacy, and support of the College.
The College’s Baccalaureate Service, a private ceremony for graduates highlighted by student reflections and an address by the College’s 2024 Professor of the Year, will be held on Friday, May 16. Instructor of Criminal Justice Michael Smith will deliver the Baccalaureate Address, as well as the benediction at Saturday’s Commencement ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend the College’s 116th Commencement. No tickets or registration are required, though attendees are advised to arrive early to avoid traffic-related slowdowns. Carpools are also strongly advised to ensure adequate parking. Seating will be available on the chapel lawn on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will also be livestreamed at keuka.edu.
