Three of Keuka College’s leading faculty members will share their perspectives on classroom instruction and higher education during the Fall 2024 STAR Faculty Panel on Thursday, October 17, at 4:30 p.m. in the Hawkins Lounge.
Sponsored by the College’s Professional Standards Committee, the panel is an opportunity for the College community to learn more about select professors, including their teaching style and philosophy, and their experiences in and out of the classroom. Audience members will also have the opportunity to submit questions.
This semester’s STAR panelists are:
Dr. Dominique Derminio – Associate Professor of Biology.
Dr. Andrew Robak – Professor of Chemistry.
Michael Smith – Instructor of Criminal Justice.
The panelists were selected after being recognized by their peers for excellence in various areas of instruction. Dr. Derminio was cited for Excellence in Experiential Learning; Dr. Robak for Excellence in Academic Achievement; and Instructor Smith for Excellence in Academic Advising.
The STAR Faculty Panel was launched during the Fall 2021 semester to spotlight the College’s high-achieving instructors. Each semester, three to five faculty members are honored with inclusion to the panel.
Thursday's event will be moderated by Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Heather Maldonado. The College community is encouraged to attend.
